Two Ibadan Mogajis, Abass Oloko and AbdulJelyl Adanla, have denied report that they promised to mobilize 200 of their colleagues for Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s visit to Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Akinola Mogaji (De-Damak).

Oloko and Adanla were reacting to report that they and 4 of their colleagues collected $10,000 to mobilize other colleagues to the Islamic leader’s house.

“Mogaji Oloko and Mogaji Adanla will love to make clarification on news going round that they promised Engr Seyi Makinde to mobilize 200 Mogajis to meet the governor at Aare Musulumi’s Ikolaba Residence yesterday.

“It will be good to set the record straight that none of us is a member of Aare-in-council and has no say on who is with Aare Musulumi to receive the governor. It was crystal clear the author is on a payroll of some disgruntled politicians.

”The courtesy visit of the Governor of Oyo state was not the first of its kind. He has been visiting even before Engr Seyi Makinde became the governor of Oyo state. The entire meeting was witnessed by more than 30 people including the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, the Oyo state CAN chairman, Imam Bada, Sheik Muyideen Najimdeen Alkubra, Khalifa Kazeem Abdulmojeed ( Baba l’Eleta) Baba Olore, Sheik Kazeem Khalifa (Akilapa) and others that were personally invited by the Aare Musulumi including some Ibadan Mogajis like Mogaji.

In conclusion, Mogaji Abass Oloko and Mogaji Adanla will like to warn the author who we know his name and phone number to be careful so that he will not be charged for character assassination as we did not at any time promise the governor to mobilize 200 Mogajis to Aare Musulumi’s house or collect any $10,000 from the governor for the said purpose,” they explained.
