Some loyalists of Olufemi Lanlehin, have reacted to Babatunde Oduyoye’s claim that the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the last governorship election is still part of the coalition arrangement that produced Seyi Makinde as governor.

OYOINSIGHT.COM had reported how Oduyoye, a former house of representatives’ member who is now Makinde’s special adviser on political matters and strategy had said that “with reference to my good big brother, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, some of the areas of agreement have been respected. That is that an appointment has been made. Other appointments will be made soon. You will recall that in a statement, he alluded to the fact that, perhaps, it was the busy schedule of the governor that is responsible for his inability to finally make the appointments. But I want to assure you that we are in constant touch with them. He (Senator Lanlehin) is still part of this coalition.”

Lanlehin, a former senator, had together with others dropped his governorship ambition for Makinde against Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

But one of his loyalists, who preferred anonymity, denied Oduyoye’s claim.

In a Whatsapp chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM, he explained that “Oduyoye is just being untruthful, and he sure knows what he’s doing, trying to manipulate the public to believe all is well, when sincerely all is not”

“Since Lanlehin called out Makinde, has the governor contacted him? The answer is no. So why is Oduyoye dropping Lanlehin’s name at every opportunity? Was it not the same Oduyoye that rushed to lampoon Lanlehin when he (Lanlehin) said he was exiting the coalition back then? Instead of advising his principal to meet up with Lanlehin to sort out whatever differences, Oduyoye is out there spewing untruths.

“Kindly disregard such and he should please leave Senator Lanlehin alone. If the deity cannot bless me, he should at least leave me in my present state, Yorubas say”.
