The popular advocacy group, Seyi Makinde Movement For Good Governance otherwise known as SMMFG has saluted the resilience, proactiveness and the innovation the Seyi Makinde led administration has employed in fighting the deadly and ravaging CoronaVirus that is code named COVID-19.
The advocacy group, speaking through its spokesperson, Comrade Adeleke Adeyemi, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state appreciated the governor of Oyo state for placing the lives of residents and indigenes of Oyo state above everything else
It will be recalled that governor Seyi Makinde made a promise to make available a state-of-the-art isolation and diagnostic centres in the shortest possible time and in 72 hours, the Governor fulfilled his promise by designing, purchasing and equipping already identified health centres with these facilities.
The transparency, leadership communication, sensitization and public orientation has been amazing.
The swift way the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force has been responding to issues and tackling the ugly virus head on is worthy of note
The majority of the indigenes and residents of Oyo state are sincerely grateful for the Governor’s proactiveness.
We also wish to identify with the Governor who tested positive to this ravaging virus. Governor Seyi Makinde is widely known for resilience, strong character and eventual victories and we are certain that this is not going to be an exception
While praying for the quick recovery of our governor, we kindly implore all OYO state indigenes and residents to take all precautions as instructed by the government.
