The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has thanked the people of the State for their prayers and good wishes as he recovers from coronavirus.
The Governor disclosed this in a statement on his official twitter account in response to the massive support and prayers the people have shown him since he announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
“I am overwhelmed by your good wishes and prayers. Thank you, everyone.
“I am known as a long-distance runner. If I can outrun and outlast the virus, which I am sure, by God’s grace, I will do, so also will many of our people in Oyo State.” The statement read.
He then urged the people of the State to keep following the directives of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force.

At the time of writing this report, the total number of confirmedcases by the NCDC in the country is now 174 with two deaths.
