Dr. Gbenga Salawudeen has revealed the reason for organizing annual quiz competition.
He disclosed that motivation of children and discovery and lifting of brilliant but indigent students are the primary reasons for the gesture.
Speaking today at the final stage of 2019 Iwe Okari annual competition, he said most public school students are indigents and deserve motivation by maximizing limited resources in achieving best educational result.
He admonished beneficiaries to take advantage of his little motivation and strive to be better in their studies.
He further implored them to be determined and focus towards their goals, noting determination is a price to greatness.
“My desire to organize annual competition for students of public secondary schools in Iwoland was to motivate children generally to strive toward academic goals/excellence and to help indigent students in achieving their dreams/goals in life”
“The 1st, 2nd and 3rd position will go home with N250,000, N150,000 and N100,000 respectively. Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms will equally be obtained for the four (4) participants who made it to the final stage”
