In the continued effort to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, through dissemination of timely information and provision of adequate health infrastructure to care for the identified cases, representatives of the government have been inundated with calls from well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations seeking to partner the state to stem this horrible tide.
Only few days ago, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, had advised the state government to set up a dedicated account for donations.
Consequently, the state government has set up dedicated COVID-19 Endowment Fund accounts with the state’s partner Banks. The account is aimed to serve as a central bucket for collection of donations specifically for such a time as this.
It will also harness state-wide support and partnership with the government in providing the necessary assistance for those who have been affected directly or indirectly by the virus.
Details of the dedicated Oyo State Government “COVID-19 Endowment Fund” accounts with the partner Banks are provided below:
Account Name: Oyo State Government “COVID-19 Endowment Fund
First Bank of Nigeria – 2035265034
United Bank for Africa – 1022748677
Unity Bank – 0046196464
In addition to the above, online payment platform has also been set up and can be accessed by clicking on the link below https://covid19.oyostate.gov.ng/
The state government also recognise that some contributions may be in kind and that there are those who have indicated interest in providing immediate relief materials such as health equipment and infrastructure to compliment government efforts.
Such good spirited citizens should please call 0904 147 4990 or 0705 552 2222 for further discussions.
His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde appreciates the strength and support shown by the good people of Oyo State and well-wishers at this challenging time.
He is of firm belief that through our collective resilience and by following the laid down protocols and instructions as provided by authorized government officials and Oyo COVID-19 health advisory sub-committee, together we would overcome.
