Members of the breakaway faction of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are to meet this morning to determine the next line of action.
The faction had left the ruling APC owing to the irreconcilable differences between them and the governor.
OYO INSIGHT recalled that the crack became obvious during the just concluded congress of the party at the ward, local and state levels.
Efforts by the leadership of the party to settle the difference met brick wall as members of the Unity Forum accused leaders of the party of taking sides.
Only last week, some selected members of the group were at the Abeokuta Hilltop residence of former president Olusegun Obasanjo where the issue of African Democratic Party, ADP, was discussed.
The forum, OYO INSIGHT gathered, had set up a committee to talk with leadership of some selected parties in order to defect from the APC.
Sources told OYO INSIGHT that majority of the leaders of the forum may have opted for the ADC. It was learnt that efforts to persuade some members of the forum against joining the party hastily was unsuccessful as it was apparent they don’t want to have anything doing with Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the APC in the state.
