A former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Oyo State, Adebayo Mutalibi Ojo, has declared that the next Governor of the state is the current Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu.
However, Adebayo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, insists that he will vote for a candidate from the Okeogun axis of the state in the interest of fairness.
“I reiterate and affirm again that Oloye Adebayo Adekola Adelabu the Grandson of the Penkelemesi, Adegoke Adelabu is the next Governor of Oyo State in 2027 except if Allah(swt) says otherwise.
“No mortal can change it and the earlier you accept and live with it from now, the better if you really want to avoid political heart seizure now or before the 2027 general election or so soon thereafter,” he wrote in a statement shared publicly.
Explaining his decision to vote for a candidate from Oke-Ogun, he noted that its important because people from the axis are also stakeholders in the state.
“I have surrendered and agree to grumble within myself, but with the caveat that Oloye Adebayo Adelabu will become the Governor of Oyo State in 2027 without my 1 vote which I will cast for any Oke-Ogun Gubernatorial candidate on the ballot because I am an avowed and unrepentant advocate of Power Shift in Oyo State in 2027.
“It is the turn of the Oke -Ogun as we are all stakeholders in the Oyo State project. We all own the Pace- Setter together and no section of the State is superior to the other and no indigene of the State is inferior to the other,” he added.
