Students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, who were mobilized for the next batch of the one-year mandatory national youth service but have yet to collect their results have blocked all gates leading to the institution, OYO INSIGHT has learnt.
This is coming few days after the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, mobilized the students.
This newspaper however learnt that their results are not ready as at the time of filing this report.
The institution has been embroiled in crisis following many months of unpaid salary arrears by the owner states of Oyo and Osun.
Only recently, students of the institution protested the hike in school fees proposed by the institution management.
For close to two years, academic activities on the campus have been epileptic.
They also locked offices.
One of the lecturers who was unfortunate to be in office when the students became angry told OYO INSIGHT that “LAUTECH under siege as students lock up all entrances and offices. Myself and all others are presently under lock. Graduating students whose results are not ready wants to go for NYSC at all cost.”
