The vice-chairman of Oyo State Tourism, Arts and Culture board, Alhaji Abass Oloko, has revealed that some elders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are angry because Governor Seyi Makinde did not allow them to cage him.

Oloko revealed this while speaking on a Yoruba radio programme on Noble FM in Ibadan, monitored by OYOINSIGHT.COM.

According to him, “Had it been Chief Yekini Adeojo was the one who emerged the Governor of Oyo State, the ongoing noise would be nonexistent because he is an adult and there is no one who can attempt to pocket him.”

He explained further, “If Adeseun Ayoade was the one who emerged, despite being an Ogbomosho man, Saka Balogun doesn’t have the strength to cage him.

“But because we are currently in the era of youth leadership; they think if they say what they said, the Governor would table his plan to them before showing it to the executives.

“And it’s not possible because he (Governor Makinde) was the one who was sworn in at Liberty Stadium.”

He, however, stated that anyone not contented or aggrieved with the administration of the Governor should approach him noting that “Governor Makinde is a man who listens to explanation.”

He also noted “anyone who thinks that causing fight would make a party lose its re-election bid is wrong because those who participate in active politics are lesser than those who vote and Governor Makinde pays civil servants regularly on the 24th of every month.”

He then urged party members to support the current administration in the state to avoid trying to play the Adedibu Politics because “Adedibu has come and gone, and his gold shoes are too big to fit anyone.”
