Wife of the late strongman of Ibadan politics and creator of ‘amala politics’, Chief Lamidi Adedibu, and a leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Mrs Bose Adedibu, on Thursday faulted the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi for condemning her late husband’s style of politics.

She was reacting to a statement credited to Ajimobi recently that the “era of amala politics is gone” in the state.

The governor had also said under the era of ‘amala politics’, which was made popular by the late Adedibu, the internally generated revenue in the state was shared by politicians but that is no longer the case as according to him, “we can account for what we have spent”.

However, Adedibu disagreed with Ajimobi, saying the present administration in the state could not account for what it spends.

According to her, the governor did not condemn her husband’s ‘amala politics’ 12 years ago when he benefited from it to become senator on the platform of Alliance for Democracy (AD).
