Declaring his ambition in the midst of palpable excitement, Engr Faozey said he came prepared for the job of a senator, having observed that the potentials of the district could be better harnessed for the benefit of the thousands who are indigenes and residents.

“I was born in this senatorial district and I know where the shoe pinches. I know what we can do to be better, I know the challenges we have faced, I know the issues we have, I know what laws we can make for better standard of living. I have come prepared for this job.”

“My coming here today is borne out of years of preparation and consultations with all stakeholders in this district. I want you all to know that with your support, Oyo Central will become the envy of other senatorial districts.”

“ I cannot do this alone, and that is why I have come to you all, my fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters to give me your support. This is not my project, it is our project. Let’s take Oyo central from this level to a higher pedestal. “

The declaration ceremony closed with merriment and residents of Lagelu local government joined the train of Engr Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen’s supporters who were beautifully draped in customized blue shirts. The declaration train is expected to make stops at each of the remaining 10 local governments in Oyo central senatorial district.
