In order to ensure the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu wins the March 9th, 2019 election, the campaign outfit of Engr Joseph Tegbe, who aspired to governed the state, has stepped up mobilization works.
A statement by Hon. Hafiz Oladejo, who is the principal liaison officer, of Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe, OJT, VANGUARD, called on aggrieved former members of APC to sheath their swords and work for the victory of the party.
Oladejo, who was public relations officer of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change, CPC, in Oyo, explained that since President Muhammadu Buhari has been re-elected for another term, it is better the people of the state elect an APC governor.
Dear pacesetters,
I have come to seek a friendly favour. It is a huge responsibility to understand the need for stable political atmosphere which we should and must promote in our beloved Oyo State hence the need to vote APC.
Consequently, I humbly seek your support and enjoin fellow progressives to see beyond your recent experiences irrespective of how it affected personally or collectively, I am also affected as you know but I strongly believe that where there is life, there is HOPE.
Hope sustains and rewards. We need to rebuild the ideals of true progressives in achieving the demands of welfarism.
Why APC?
Last Saturday’s presidential election clearly explains why. Under the leadership of these two leaders (PMB/PYO), I believe it will be corresponding and politically correct to have APC as the next Governor.
I am a frontrunner in Team Tegbe and I strongly believe all who know me personally can testify to my experience in the progressive circle yet I still have HOPE.
I thank God for Joseph Tegbe swung into action to ensure the victory of all APC candidates despite his inability to get the coveted governorship ticket. Like JT, I plead we all allow the interest of Oyo State come first.
Tegbe ensured the polling units in his family compound, Labo are won by APC and has vowed to repeat the feat for Adelabu. It is possible my brothers and sisters.
My hope is not to just put food on my table or being in office, all glory be to God but to serve and join well meaning team and leaders of repute such as I find in Team Tegbe and the Principal himself, JT as fondly called.
JT has equally demonstrated courage and patriotism by ensuring his support is enormous to have Adebayo Adelabu as Governor of Oyo State, 2019 irrespective of his experience.
Now, let all the progressives and lovers of Oyo State learn from our experiences and the outcome of the February 23rd elections. We are stronger together.
