A former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oyo State government, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi has sponsored pupils of 4 schools in Oyo State to the Lagelu FM/Splash FM Father Christmas Funfair 2020.
The 4 schools selected include: Eruwa school for the deaf new Eruwa; Cheshire Home Ijokodo, Ibadan; Motherless Babies Home Omolewa School Road Yemetu, Ibadan and Mercy Day Iwo Road, Ibadan.
Speaking on the rationale behind his actions, Adekambi said: ” I’m always happy to contribute my own quota to the happiness of the children. This is not the first time I will be reaching out to orphanage homes in Oyo state. I’ve been doing this for over 15 years, and I will never stop doing so. Many kids are privileged to have their parents around to celebrate Christma but these children only have people like us to celebrate with them, and we shouldn’t deny them that joy of celebration.”
The teachers and coordinators of the schools and orphanages which comprise of Mr Adesope O.A, Mrs Amao O.C, Miss F.B Alao, Mrs Adewale Oluyemisi among others were so happy.
They prayed for God to send more people like Adekanmbi to these kids, so they can also have access to things like how other kids do.
