Olaniyan: Why I Won’t Leave Oyo ADC

One of the governorship aspirants on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, Engr Raufu Olaniyan, has said that won’t leave the party.

According to Olaniyan, the party is poised for victory at the forthcoming 2019 elections in the state.

Olaniyan, who spoke at an event to mark the new Islamic calendar Hijra 1440 organised by the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations, NACOMYO, at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, reaffirmed his membership of the ADC.

He said that he helped built the party and there is absolutely no reason why he should leave the party at this point in time, remarking that one cannot expect a party in the mould of ADC not to have some little problems at the onset.

Olaniyan added that with the kind of excellent leadership the party is blessed with, such issues will be resolved amicably to the satisfaction of all.

The erstwhile permanent secretary in the Oyo State Civil Service urged members of the public to disregard rumour making rounds that he has left the party, stressing that there was never a time he contemplated exiting the ADC, explaining that the rumour was peddled by enemies of the party.

The Igboho-born politician assured his numerous supporters that he continues to be a member of the ADC and restated his commitment to seek the party’s ticket to contest as governor of Oyo state In 2019.
