Do you remember Abiodun Awoleye? He is representing Ibadan North federal constituency for the second term in the House of Representatives on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. He was elected into the green chamber for the first term in 2011 after serving one term as the representative of Ibadan North State constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
He will be leaving the APC for the newly formed African Democratic Congress, ADC, today.
This is coming few days after his effort to contest the governorship seat on the platform of the APC hit the rock.
Not long ago, he had denied OYO INSIGHT’s report that he had joined his colleagues which included Honourables Adedapo Lam-Adesina in the ADC.
This newspaper had reportedly how Awoleye who hails from Faola Compound, sent his voter card to his ward 4 area of Ibadan North for registration as an ADC member.
Before making his mind up to leave the APC, impeccable sources told OYO INSIGHT that Awoleye obtained the party’s House of Representatives’ nomination forms to recontest his seat. Another inside source told this newspaper that the lawmaker also obtained the nomination forms of the ADC.
Awoleye, was unavailable for comments as at the time of filing this story as he didn’t pick calls placed to his number.
