The camp of the Oyo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, increased as the lawmaker representing Ibadan North federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abiodun Dada Awoleye, has registered as a member.
Awoleye, who was in the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2007 and 2011 on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, is completing his second term in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progresssives Congress, APC.
He was said to have been ‘too’ loyal to Governor Abiola Ajimobi, a gesture the governor did reciprocate.
In his bid to return to the House of Representatives in 2015, Awoleye was said to have spent heavily to secure the ticket of APC as the Governor and his men were allegedly against him.
Though he was not available for comments as at the time of filing this story as he didn’t pick his number, OYO INSIGHT learnt that Awoleye, who hails from Faola Compound, was said to have been registered as an ADC member of ward 4 area of Ibadan North.
He is aspiring to succeed Ajimobi.
