THE name Joseph Tegbe is now a song on the lips of many in Oyo State politics.
Tegbe, who is a partner and head of the Technology Advice Practice with KPMG, did the unusual recently, when he declared his intention to contest for the governorship position of his state come 2019. His ambition stunned many who know him a corporate player that does not give a thought to politics and all it entails.
Unknown to people, the KPMG top shot is a man of different parts. He loves his people and does not joke with their welfare through his Tegbe Foundation, which was founded some years ago.
At a foundation lecture for the birthday ceremony of the shepherd behind the Victory International Church, Ibadan, days ago, Tegbe delivered a powerful message, which he hinged on quality leadership, need for inclusive institutions and the power of a shared vision.
Tegbe’s coming into politics has changed the game plans of other contenders for the All Progressives Congress’ guber ticket in Oyo State.
