In this era when youths have made frivolities in many variants their pastimes, it is always heartwarming to find a group of youths coming together to return sanity of good morals, lawful pursuits of wealth and enduring developments to their society. Such rejoicing development tells the story of an Ibadan based nonpolitical, nonreligious and nongovernmental association registered as Integrity Youths of Ibadan (IYI) in 2013 with the Corporate Affairs Commission. The main aim, among other sterling objectives of IYI is to harness the potentials of Ibadan youths for personal and individual developments of the youths and the general enduring developments of Ibadan city.

IYI as a youth organization has a sole vision to remove the inequalities in the sociopolitical, economic and educational realms of life in Ibadan. The organization has been working assiduously to create a synergy between the old (elders) and the young ones so that the young ones can be opportune to drink from the well of wisdom from the elders. What makes IYI as a youth organization tick is that they hold elders in high esteem, with the attendant belief that youths can only make considerable headway when they allow themselves to be guided by the elders.

Realising that Ibadanland is blessed with brilliant elders in all fields of human endeavours, IYI is working to tap this uncommon potential to lift the youths to such enviable heights that the shining stars of Ibadan descent have attained in life.

To give life to her aims and objectives, IYI has been collaborating with intellectual and resourceful persons, especially professors and scholars in the academics, philanthropists and other well-meaning individuals in order to bring positive change that Ibadan has been craving for.

It’s IYI’s fervent belief that it’s parochial to think that Ibadan can develop in social, political and economic terms in isolation without considering the larger influence of Nigeria since our country is practising federalism which makes every state and city to be an important stakeholder in a legacy called Nigeria.

In recognition of IYI’s efforts at reorienting Ibadan youths to become better members of the society, and to uplift Ibadan, Ilaji Hotels and Resorts, Akanran, Ibadan, gave a deserving award to IYI during the maiden edition of the Face of Ilaji, on 31st July, 2021.
