The Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Sports and Resorts centre, Engr. Dotun Sanusi has urged young engineers to embrace the spirit of team work, high maintenance culture, and problem-solving skills.
Engr. Sanusi gave the admonition while speaking at the induction/launching ceremony and inauguration of the 4th executive committee of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) held at the Functions Hall, Jogor Center, Ibadan .
“Everyone will agree with me that that the roles of engineering to the society, nation and human development cannot be over emphasized. Being an engineer myself with a field experience that has spanned several decades before setting up my own private businesses, I can say with some degrees of certainty that teamwork besides the application of engineering knowledge is the bedrock upon which any aspiring engineer can make success out of this noble profession.
“Nature has shown any discerning mind the telling-signs of the end-product of teamwork. A critical look into the lifestyles of ants that we see around us says a lot about what collective efforts can achieve regardless of physical limitations. It is against this background that I want to talk about the exceptional lifestyles of ants in the context of today’s topic; Ants and Teaming Engineering,” he said.
He attributed the exceptional lifestyles of ants to their collective efforts to their activities regardless of physical limitations.
He added that the characteristics of ants should always be in relation to engineering and teamwork encouraging the young engineers present to embrace teamwork and collective efforts with a view to facing the new phase of life that they are getting into.
The Ibadan-born businessman also donated N2 million to the building project of the association.
