The new year 2019 has began on a brighter note for popular gospel musician, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, as the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has given him operation license to run Fresh 106.9 FM from Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital.
This is coming almost 4 years after the Ipoti-Ekiti born broadcaster joined the league of radio stations owners in the country, with Fresh 105.9 FM, Ibadan.
Only few months ago, in mid 2018, OYO INSIGHT reported how Ayefele established Fresh 107.9 FM, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The new station, inside source told this newspaper, will ‘test run’ service for some time until the remaining gadgets arrive the country.
It was further learnt some of the station’s popular programmes would be networked while others will be syndicated.
The source, however, added that the stations will run independently of one another.
Fresh FM Ibadan is one of the most listened to radio stations in the country, especially in the South West.
