Apata Market Inferno: Tegbe Sympathizes With Victims

    The Oyo South Senatorial Candidate of People Democratic Party, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe on Friday, 16th of December sympathized with those affected by the inferno at Apata Market in Ibadan, Oyo State.

    According to the sympathy message “this is really a huge loss, not only to the Apata community but also the entire people of Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole considering that Apata market is one of the oldest and busiest market in Ibadan metropolis.

    “I feel the pains of those affected by this unfortunate incident and I promise to work together with the state government to mitigate the impact of the disaster on victims and prevent such sad future occurrence.”

    Tegbe also commended the quick intervention of the state government, as the Deputy Governor had promptly visited the fire site for an on-the-ground assessment while expressing his confidence that the government through her agencies will take necessary steps towards assuaging the pains of the victims.

    Recall that the fire incident occurred on the 15th of December, 2022. Although no life was lost but goods and properties estimated at millions of naira got burnt.
