Engr. Mufutau Open Salwu has described the late Chief of staff to Nigeria’s President, Abba Kyari, as a ‘man Friday’ who played his role without making a lot of enemies.
Open Salawu, who was an aspirant for the house of representatives seat in Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Oriire under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 general elections, disclosed this in a statement to condole with the country over the death of Abba Kyari made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM on Sunday afternoon.
In the statement, he described Abba Kyari as a very articulate and calm man who was more mature than his age.
He stressed further that he was not surprised that President Muhammadu Buhari found in the late Chief of Staff “a lot of quality that suits the position of the Man Friday”.
He added: “Nobody could play that role without making so many enemies and being turned into a punching bag but what is important is to gain the confidence of your principal and your conscience should be to serve the Nation with the position, in which Malam Abba kyari did to the last minute.
“He knows so much about this administration that he would have been perfect to achieve for the future Government and helpful records for that matter, but, unfortunately, death took him away without hearing his own side of the story.”
He then prayed that the Almighty God “forgive him and grant him Aljanat, give his family fortitude to bear the lost and comfort our President”.
