24 Hours After Makinde’s Visit, LAUTECH Suspends Students Union President, Others

Less than 24 hours after Engr Seyi Makinde visited the premises of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, the management of the institution have allegedly suspended three students’ union leaders.

They are President, Abiodun Oluwaseun (Laurel) who is a 500 levels student of the Animal Production and Health department; General Secretary, Oluniyi Abiodun who is a 500 level student of the department of Pure and Applied Physics and Public Relations Officer, Adeyemi Emmanuel(Parrot) who is a 400 level student of the department of Chemical Engineering.

OYO INSIGHT had reported how Makinde visited the institution after the management of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala’s owned Parrot FM refused him access to feature on a programme.

Sources told this newspaper that “the management didn’t want to be queried by the state government, so they suspended them.”

OYO INSIGHT is yet to get the reaction of the management as at the time of filing this story.
