It was a signal of what the 2023 political scene will look like in Oyo State when scores of progressive minded politicians gathered in Ibadan on Saturday to launch a new political group, Tegbe Integrity Ladies.
The new political movement is a society of women working towards the actualization of the gubernatorial aspirational Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe in the next gubernatorial elections in the state.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that the group is a brainchild or the trio of Comrade Abidemi Sanni, Mrs. Jumoke Ajenifuja and Princess Funlola Balogun.
The group’s leader, Comrade Abidemi Sanni explained that they decided to launch the group in a bid to forge ahead in and close the ranks with other women of goodwill who have always supported the governorship ambition of Joseph Tegbe.
She noted that Tegbe deserves to takeover as the landlord of the Agodi government House in 2023 because he is a man “that is full of love and compassion for his people and country; a man of selfless service and an extraordinary Philanthropist.”
“As we all know that women are a major influence in a family and the society at large, it is an inestimable value to have as many as possible of us on board of the train of this noble project of Tegbe For Governor. For these reasons, we have come together as a strong force to work together with others tirelessly with full commitment for the success of the Project. I believe we are all ready for the task ahead of us and with determination and consistency, victory shall be ours.
“As our party’s registration is around the corner, I am charge us to go all out to woo and mobilize new members into the party, this shall be our first assignment with which we shall show our strength and commitment, I pray that the Almighty shall crown our efforts with great success,”she noted.
Other members of the new political group, in their separate remarks, lauded the initiative.
They noted that Tegbe’s antecedents and philantopic acts towards them is an enough to motivate them to work tirelessly to ensure his political aspiration becomes a reality.
