A socio-cultural group in Ogbomosho, Ogbomosho Youth Forum, OYF, has condemned what it called the betrayal of the hundreds of thousands of youths in Ogbomosholand by Otunba Adebayo Alao over his decision to return to the All Progressives Congress, APC, without making the correction of the pitiable state of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, as one of his conditions.
In a statement signed by its president, Aderogba Adedigba, the forum which draws its members from the entire Ogbomosholand and in diaspora stated that Alao-Akala would have mitigated the damage trailing his return to APC by getting a commitment from the APC to resolve the crisis of LAUTECH.
“It is quite disappointing that Otunba Alao-Akala will return to APC without getting a commitment on LAUTECH. LAUTECH is the lifewire of the economy of Ogbomosholand. The non-challant attitude of the APC-controlled governments of Oyo and Osun States has led to a crisis that has paralyzed the economy of Ogbomosholand and jeopardized the future of our youths and other students and potential students of the university”, the group stated.
