The opposition against Chief Akin Oke, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is mounting everyday.
Oyo APC Aspirants’ forum,  group of aggrieved aspirants who were denied party tickets have come out to denied statement by the 82-year politician that the party is not factionalized.
This, OYOINSIGHT.COM understands, is coming few days after an aggrieved group within the party, ‘Oyo APC Way Forward’ and chieftain, Asiwaju Rotimi Ajanaku berated the 82-year old politician for saying that the recommendations of the Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala’s reconciliation would be ratified by the state working committee of the party led by him.
APC ASPIRANTS FORUM: PRESS STATEMENT
MAY GOD HEAL OUR PARTY OF THIS FACTIONALISATION VIRUS
We, (APC Aspirants Forum, Oyo State Chapter), hereby offer prayers to God to heal our great party of the ravaging virus of disunity, which daily, is assuming dangerous dimensions. From the National to the State, Local and Ward Levels, the virus, coming in the form of seemingly intractable strains, with nohope of having the much needed anti-viral vaccine in a short while!!!
1. We pray that God shall stand by all groups within the party agitating for unity, transparency, inclusiveness, fairness, equity and justice in all the administrative/ reconciliatory processes put in place, both at the National and State levels. Groups such as Unity Forum, APC Reformers, Way Forward for Oyo APC, and several others who are equally aggrieved but dangerously silent and ungrouped.
2. We pray to God to redirect the hearts of the various groups, even within the State Exco, particularly those in the faction of the current belligerent, deceitful, unremorseful and non-reconciling Chairman going by his recent demonstration of playing the ostrich with the issue of fractionalization within our party in Oyo State.
3. We pray that God shall avail the Party leadership at the  National Level, the wisdom to see through this unholy deceit, double-speak, coming from the circle of the current Party leadership in the State and the courage to do the needful before it reaches the rancorous stage as recently witnessed within the former National EXCO members. The result of which is the emergence of the National Caretaker Committee to manage the affairs of the Party for a stipulated period, before the national convention.
4. We pray to God to forgive the State Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, over his denial of what is obvious, use of strong language – abusive, bellicose. This we consider demeaning to his status as a father and elder Statesman.
5. We pray for peace and concord amongst elders, leaders and all with interests and ambitions, such that their contest for relevance, power and influence within the Party will not further reinforce this virus of disintegration that brought our Party in the State to this its current all-time-low state.
6. We pray for the progressive families across our dear Nation, for a divine healing and possible elimination of all centrifugal viruses before 2023.
7. AMEN.
