The 79 Regular Recruit intake of the Nigerian Army from Oyo state for 2020 on Friday visited Governor Seyi Makinde at the State Secretariat, Ibadan.
The young soldiers, who were attended to by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Remi Olaniyan, presented him an award of merit.
They also appreciated the Governor and the Deputy for their unreleting support.
Speaking on behalf of the soldiers, Ajao Musa Bolaji, who led the team, stated that the level of support they have received from the current administration in the state is unprecedented.
“It was a thing of joy for him to have led the team of the young officers of the Nigerian Army to meet with the state Governor.”
“We came to express our profound gratitude to his Excellency, Seyi Makinde for the support received by the 79RRI while they were preparing for the training,” Ajao said.
In his remark, the Deputy Governor, who spoke on behalf of the Governor, urged the gallant recruits to make Oyo State proud in the discharge of their duties.
