Weeks After Replacing Akewugbagold, Makinde Renews Bishop Moradeyo’s Appointment

Two weeks after replacing Alhaji Taofeek Akewugbagold with Prof. Sayed Hamzah Ayantunde Malik  as chairman of the Muslim wing of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Governor Seyi Makinde has renewed the appointment of his counterpart at the Christian Wing, Bishop Ademola Moradeyo.

Both, OYO INSIGHT learnt, were appointed by former governor Abiola Ajimobi. Makinde had appointed Malik few days after he was sworn in.

A statement by Makinde’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa, stated that Moradeyo is currently the Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria Diocese of Ogbomoso.

 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from the Lutheran College of India, and had served as a President of the Ibadan Progressive Union. He is also the current Chairman of the Ogbomoso Community Forum.
