Mr Olajide Olatoye, who is the elder brother of slain lawmaker, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar, has alleged that the leader of the murderers that killed his brother is from Lalupon.
Recall that OYO INSIGHT had published how Sugar, who was representing Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, was gunned down in Lalupon on election day.
In a chat with BBC Yoruba, Olajide explained that “I was at the scene where my younger was killed. We used to be in the same car whenever we are going for political functions. I was not in his car, I was in another car, behind him. He was ambushed. And within few seconds, they opened fire on him. I was helpless. I know those who killed my brother. They told me not to say it again but I will continue to say it. I’m still keeping the name because of security reason. His death is political.
“There were like 50 of them, fully armed. We were coming from our village, Alape, where we had gone to cast our votes. I managed to escape.
“The leader of the killers is from Lalupon. He is not new to it; He did it in 2007. The same person who killed my brother killed Hon. Segun Oladimeji (Segelu) who was representing the same federal constituency in 2007,” the senior Olatoye alleged.
