Mulikat Adeola Akande, a former leader of the House of Representatives, has said that those who are after her life are not relenting.
OYOINSIGHT.COM had reported how the Ogbomoso-born politician alleged that her Ibadan and Abuja houses are being monitored by suspected hired killers.
In a telephone chat, she had told this newspaper that the development cannot be disconnected from happenings in her Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
But few hours after the report, a purported disclaimer surfaced, with her name as signatory.
The PDP leader, in her reaction, alleged one Adelaja Adeoye, as the brain behind the false disclaimer. She revealed that the said Adelaja has been reported to the appropriate quarters.
She, however, expressed surprised that some people somewhere can order a disclaimer to suppress an issue as important as threat to her life.
“I am surprised reading a disclaimer written on my behalf, that my life is not in danger, you can see now that they are really after my life.
“I said my life is in danger, someone that I don’t know said it is not. This is a ploy to divert attention and cause confusion in the mind of the people.
“One Adelaja Adeoye was confirmed to have written the disclaimer on my behalf. From my investigation so far, he is an errand boy to those who are after my life. I don’t know him and i have never met him,” she added, saying that “I stand on my earlier report of threat to my life.”
