The Hypocrisy Of An Errand Boy: Exposing The Real Dare Adeleke | Adeshina Taofeek
When a man with a glass house starts throwing stones, he shouldn’t be surprised when his own walls come crashing down.
This is the exact predicament of Dare Adeleke, a self-acclaimed leader in Ibadan South East local government. Adeleke’s recent fictitious and baseless article targeted at our revered political leader, His Excellency, Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, is a masterclass in political delusion. Having thoroughly digested his text, it is glaring that Adeleke lacks the moral justification, integrity, or political relevance to level allegations against anyone—let alone a statesman of Arapaja’s caliber.
From personal experience and public record, Dare Adeleke is a political parasite who speaks from both sides of his mouth. Far from being a serious political actor, he has earned a reputation as a mere errand boy, routinely deployed for shady political hatchet jobs.
When contrasted with Ambassador Arapaja’s rich and decorated political resume, Adeleke’s record shrinks into insignificance.
During his stint as the PDP Youth Leader, Adeleke left no credible record of achievement. He cannot boast of a single youth he mentored, supported, or empowered.
For all his noise, Adeleke is a political lightweight who cannot win his own polling unit. During the first-term local government elections under Governor Makinde—an election heavily skewed toward the ruling party—Adeleke embarrassingly lost his polling unit in Ward 1 to the opposition SDP. To cover this shame, he resorted to desperate maneuvers with electoral officers to doctor the results.
Adeleke’s political career is littered with financial scandals that undermine any claim he has to integrity.
When he served as the Caretaker Chairman of the PDP in Ekiti State, he allegedly collected funds from various aspirants, sparking a massive crisis. Ironically, it was the very Ambassador Arapaja he now disparages who intervened, swept the mess under the carpet, and saved Adeleke from total public disgrace.
Furthermore, his tenure as Chairman of the Pacesetter Transport Services in Oyo State was nothing short of disastrous. Adeleke allegedly oversaw the questionable sale of agency vehicles as scraps, pocketing the proceeds.
This blatant mismanagement infuriated Governor Makinde, who tolerated him only until the 2023 elections concluded. Immediately after, the Governor replaced him with Dr. Ibrahim Salami Dikko and ordered a thorough probe into Adeleke’s activities. Sensing imminent humiliation, Adeleke started running from pillar to post, begging for leniency.
Adeleke’s loyalty is strictly transactional; he will gladly disparage anyone if the price is right. His greed was fully on display during the last PDP Presidential primary election in Abuja. Rather than utilizing his allocated delegate slot to empower loyal, hardworking party members, Adeleke gave the slot to his biological son, who pocketed thousands of dollars.
In conclusion, Dare Adeleke has never contested—and can never win—an election, even for the position of a ward councillor.
He lacks the dignity, clout, and clean record required of a true leader.
Dare Adeleke must immediately cease his spurious, concocted attacks against Ambassador Arapaja. Should he choose to continue down this path of falsehoods, we will not hesitate to expose even greater atrocities from his closet to the public domain. A word is enough for the wise.
