Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Prof. Adeolu Akande, has commiserated with Governor Seyi Makinde and his siblings over the death of their mother, Mrs. Abigail Makinde.
The governor’s mum had died in the early part of Thursday.
Akande, in a condolence message by his media office, asked the governor to take heart over the loss.
According to him, “I sympathized with you over the loss of Mama. Though every one of us would love their parents to live longer so as to enjoy what they they laboured for during motherhood but we cannot query God because death will always come unannounced at the appointed time. Having walked this path in 2015, I know what it means to lose one’s dotting mother.
“While I pray God to repose the soul of Mama, I like to counsel you not to be too grief-stricken. Brace up, cheer up your siblings and family members to celebrate Mama. She lived a fulfilled life, especially seeing his children becoming successful in their chosen careers before departing. Accept my sympathies, my brother,” Akande added.
