…Lauds Gov’s Vehicle Donations To Journalists, Musicians
The Association of Ibadan Mogajis on Friday commended the kind gesture of the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, saying they await the time the association and Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII will benefit from the benevolence of the governor through donation of buses to them.
They said the buses, if given to them, would go along way in assisting in discharging their responsibility to Ibadan people.
Recall that Governor Makinde recently gave SUV vehicle to Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa, also, the governor in the last few weeks did the same to three journalists.
A statement jointly signed by the President, Association of Ibadan Mogaji’s, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori and the leadership of Ibadan Compounds Peace Initiatives (ICPI) stated that governor Makinde has impacted positively on the people of the state in his personal capacity and through government interventions.
According to the statement, “We salute governor Makinde for his gesture, we commend him for his giant stride in Ibadanland and Oyo State in general, we humbly request for buses for Mogajis, CCII and others for easy movement so that we can perform effectively.
“We believe a formidable association like Mogajis and CCII deserve buses for easy mobilization. We want to know when you will extend your benevolent gesture to us.”
“We will be glad if this our humble request is granted, we look forward to your favourable response to our request.”
The statement however reiterated CCII, ICPI and Ibadan Mogaji’s commitment towards the success of Makinde’s administration.
