Sunday Dare Condemns Abduction, Killing Of Hotelier, Owolabi, Others

    Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Chief Sunday Dare has lamented the abduction and killing of the Proprietor of Tana Suites, Ogbomoso, Mr Gbenga Owolabi and a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Miss Racheal Opadele by unknown gunmen.

    Describing the incident as devastating, cruel and barbaric, the Minister stressed that security agencies will work assiduously in fishing out the perpretaroros in order to face the wrath of the law.

    Dare, who is Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland, called on indigenes and residents of Ogbomoso to remain calm and peaceful, adding that criminal elements in the town will meet their waterloo in no distant time.

    The Minister while praying for eternal rest for the departed souls, expressed sadness and shock over the gruesome murder of the hotelier, student and a motorcyclist, who conveyed the family member of Owolabi to pay ransom to the abductors.

    He said, “the recent abduction and killing of the trio of Mr Gbenga Owolabi, Miss Racheal Opadele and a motorcycle rider by unknown gunmen is devastating, shocking, evil and highly unacceptable.

    “The ugly incident will be properly investigated by appropriate authorities.

    “Security agencies will work with other stakeholders in exposing the perpretrators of the wicked act.

    “I am deeply pained”.

    The Minister prayed to God to give the families of the departed souls the fortitude to bear the sad losses.
