The Sun Set In Its Noon

With heavy heart and deep soberness we announce the death of a brother, a father, an uncle and an industrious son of Oyo Alaafin, Honourable Kehinde Ayoola, Oyo State Commissioner of Environment.

Your sudden death is a colossal loss to Oyo Town, Oyo Federal Constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria at large. While you were alive, you were a man of great valour and courage.

Your exceptional brilliance and rare intelligibility were a source of motivation for many, especially Oyo State youths. Your frank opinions on both political and social issues evinced the innate astuteness imbued in you.

While you served as the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, you set the Parliament on a glorious pedestal of cerebralism. You navigated the House through the turbulent storm of bickering and came out unscathed.

Your emergence as the Oyo State Commissioner of Environment has gradually heralded dynamism and pragmatism into government businesses. Your departure cut short the lofty wish you have for the people of Oyo State.

I sincerely commiserate with Kabiyesi, Iku Baba Yeye, the Alaafin of Oyo; His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State and the entire sons and daughters of Oyo on this huge loss.

I pray God, in His infinite mercy, comfort your entire family members, friends and associates. May God forgive your sins. May your soul rest in peace. Stay blessed till we meet to part no more.

Signed:
Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi,
Member, Federal House of Representatives, Abuja
