Chairman, Action Democratic Party, ADP, Oyo State, Hon Folaranmi Owolabi has assured the teeming supporters that the party remains intact with state executive structure still in control.
Owolabi said this against backdrop of recent development in which he was reported to have been suspended by some few elements in the party.
This was during the general meeting held at the party Secretariat, Hosana Building, Leventis Bus Stop, Coca Cola, Ibadan on Monday.
Owolabi stressed that the clarification is necessary in order to disabuse the mind of confused party faithful all over the state.
“There was never a time I was suspended from the party. The report was just a wishful thought of some elements in the party who wanted us out. We are intact in Oyo ADP and nobody can chase us out, because we are not ready to leave for defectors”, he declared.
He reiterated that the purported press statement was a figment of the writer’s imagination which had claimed a victim in one of the party’s national executive member.
“Our National Vice Chairman, South West, Hon Lateef Arowosaye, who was said to have issued the statement has been suspended for that”, he confirmed.
Hon Folaranmi Owolabi who is highly impressed in what he called an unbiased intervention of the party’s national headquarters, however, admonished all party members across the state to be steadfast and work hard for its success in the coming general elections.
At the meeting were the other party executive members, 26 local government party chairmen, women leaders across the three senatorial districts, party’s candidates for the state and House of Representatives.
