A former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly and a Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Segun Olaleye (Radical Brother)has said that security has not broken down in Oyo State as being portrayed stressing that its the opposition that is blowing the pockets of security breaches in the State out of proportion.
Fielding questions from Aanuoluwapo Omorinde on BOTTOM LINE – a political programme on IBR 92.5fm Ibadan today, monitored by OYOINSIGHT.COM, Olaleye said he will score Governor Seyi Makinde 70 percent in the area of security but added that there are more to be done.
“Let me tell you, the security situation in Oyo is not as bad as the opposition is painting it. They are only amplifying it”.
“The opposition are worried about the sterling performance of Governor Makinde and they are looking for an opportunity to bring his government down. That is why they are amplifying the issue of security. We know them”.
“They are really planning big. What they are even doing now is small compared to what they plan. By middle of next year, they plan to do more. We know their plan and antics.
He listed the areas in which the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde has achieved to include security, education, welfare of the Citizens among others.
He described enviroment as the low point of the administration charging the government to do more.
According to him, the government should look into the issue of street trading”.
