Governor-elect of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has finally met the vice-chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Prof Michael Ologunde and the suspended students union leaders of the troubled institution.
The president, general secretary and public relations officer of the institution had been suspended from the institution following the ‘presence’ of Makinde on the campus.
OYO INSIGHT reported how Makinde, who is of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, took his governorship campaign to the institution.
It was learnt that Makinde had initially rejected moves by the VC to see him after he won the governorship contest, telling to bring along the suspended union leaders or forget it.
They later came to the Ikolaba residence of the governor-elect with other top management of the institution.
Ar the brief meeting, Makinde reiterated his determination to solve the problems bedeviling the institution.
