Apart from contributing to the reconstruction of the razed Akesan market razed last Saturday inferno, Adebayo Adelabu Foundation, BAF and the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, would provide soft loans for victims.
Adelabu, who was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in March 9, 2019 election, made this known after being conducted round the scene of the inferno.
The immediate past deputy governor of the CBN, in a chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM, said the affected traders would benefit from his BAF’s traders’ support scheme. This is just as he promised to contact the apex bank on behalf of the traders for small and medium enterprises, SME, loan to cushion the effect of the inferno.
“Thereafter, I promised to contribute within my capacity to the reconstruction of the Akesan Market to express my love and solidarity towards the victims of the inferno.
“My foundation will even provide relief materials soon and this is aside from the financial support I promised,” he added.
He, however, urged government to support and make fire service efficient to prevent further occurrence.
