Women have been urged to take active part in politics as that will enable them to deploy their full potentials to nation building.

Oyo State commissioner for finance, Mr Abimbola Adekanmbi, who hosted the Young Women Forum of the All Progressives Congress, APC, over the weekend, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, explained that they need to contest elective positions rather than wait to be allocated slots.

While appreciating the young ladies for coming together as a force, he advised them against underrating themselves.

This is just as he commended them for believing in the leadership of the coordinator, Mrs Fatima Hassan-Adeleke, who doubles as the special assistant to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on student matter, promising to always support them.

Speaking earlier, Hassan-Adeleke noted that “the movement is set to get more young women’s involvement in politics, crave for equality in political participation at all political levels, and support young women to run for political offices.
