Members of the Oyo State Aspirants Forum of the All Progressives Congress have declared a three day fasting and prayer for the quick recovery of the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
OYOINSIGHT.COM reports that Ajimobi is currently receiving medical treatment at the First Cardiology Hospital in Lagos.
The forum in a statement issued in Ibadan at the weekend urged all its members to observe fasting and prayers for three days starting from today, Monday, JUNE 22 2020.
“We urged all members of the APC to pray fervently for the ailing former governor of oyo state. We wish him soonest recovery.
In another development, the forum also commisserated with the families of the former chairman of Alliance for Democracy in the state, Pa Farinu and the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo Central, Pa S.M Akindele who died recently.
“We pray for the repose of the duo of Pa Farinu and Akindele who were committed Awoists and core Progressives, the statement added.
The forum’s delegation who paid a condolence visit to the residences of the deceased was led by Comrade Akeem Ayo Babalola, the State Coordinator.
The team also visited Pa Akin Ojebode one of the few oldest living Awoists.
