Olaniyan Receives PDP, NNPP Assembly Aspirants Into APC In Igboho

    Raufu Olaniyan, Chairman of the Grassroots Independence Campaign Council, GICC, in Oyo State, has received decampees from two different parties, People Democratic Party, PDP, and New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

    Ogunronbi Fatai, defected from the PDP to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, with his supporters.

    According to him, he left the party because he was unable to pinpoint any project executed by the present state government at local government level, adding that the dividend of democracy isn’t managed by the current administration.

    He also said that joining the former deputy governor in APC was for the development at the grassroots, “because Engineer Olaniyan is a grassroots politician and hope of the masses.”

    From NNPP, Jamiu Ajetunmobi, popularly known as JJ Okocha, with his followers, also joined the APC, testifying that, Olaniyan is a truly a grassroots politician and hope of the people.

    The party chairman, Egbebi Soliu, while receiving them, said that “APC has started uprooting the taproot of other parties in Orelope. Before election we will make sure that we will be operating single party system.”

    Speaking, Olaniyan said everyone would be equally treated, enjoining them to work assiduously work for the election of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Teslim Folarin as president and governor of Oyo State as well as other candidates of the party.

    Only yesterday, Oyo APC applauded the former deputy governor for “his recent heroic activities aimed at achieving all round victory for the APC at this year general election. It is worthy of note that His Excellency, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, is doing a wonderful job at the moment to mobilize support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Sen. Teslim Folarin as well as all other candidates of of the APC and we shall not take this for granted.” The statement concluded.
