The Senate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife has approved the Adegboyega Adegoke Prize for the Best Econometrics Graduate worth N1.5M.
Adegboyega, who graduated from the Department of Agricultural Economics, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 1992, has a culture of philanthropic contributions to his alma mater.
You will recall that on the 22nd of July 2021, Adegboyega handed over a multimillion Naira econometrics laboratory to the university.
An accomplished alumnus, Adegboyega is fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) and also the Bada Balogun of Ibadanland.
The recent approval of the N1.5m Adegboyega Adegoke Prize for the best econometrics graduate by the senate of the university will go a long way to encourage the study of Econometrics and also contribute to manpower development, a statement by Akeem Amodu, global publicity secretary of the Great Ife Alumni Association, stated.
