The governor-elect of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has reassured that his running mate, Engr. Raufu Olaniyan, will not be a deputy without responsibilities.
He stated this today when elders and party leaders from Oke Ogun paid him a congratulatory visit.
Makinde noted that Oke Ogun is of strategic importance to the economic development of the state, and it is impossible to annex the resources in the region without the people benefiting from it.
He assured leaders from Oke Ogun that the region will not be neglected.
Speaking further, Makinde also reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his electoral promises to the good people of Oyo state.
Senator Robert Koleosho who led the delegation had earlier congratulated the governor-elect, while admonishing him to fulfil the promises he made to the people during the campaign, not only to the people of Oke Ogun but every region in the state.
He prayed God to grant the governor-elect the wisdom to steer the state to the shore of prosperity.
Among Oke Ogun leaders at the meeting included, the Asiwaju of Igbeti Jacob Adetoro, Senator Hosea Agboola, Oyo state PDP chairman Kumi Mustapha, Alhaji Lateef Santana, Alhaji Afeez Onaara, Sarafa Alani, Hon. Najeem Omirinde, Alhaji Saka Iwajowa.
Others are Alhaji Lateef Yusuf, Hon. Ademola Agbarapo and several others.
