The duo of Kola Olabiyi and Asimiyu Alarape have supported the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, contesting Saturday’s local government election in Oyo State.
Olabiyi, who represented Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola federal constituency between 2011 and 2015 donated N3,000,000 to the party in the 10 Okeogun local government areas.
Alarape who represented Atiba state constituency between 1999-2003 and 2019-2023 and was speaker and minority leader respectively donated the sum of N1,000,000 to the party in his local government.
Speaking, Olabiyi, who is the Chief Financial Officer(CFO), FGN Power Company Limited, solicited people’s support for all APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates’ victory at the council poll slated for Saturday, April 27.
The Okaka-born accountant said it was a way of contributing his own quota for the success and over all victory of the party’s chairmanship and councillorship candidates who are representing the party at the next council election.
He, however charged people to come out en mass to vote, not minding the threat and overstatement of PDP members, boasting that the civic exercise would be doctored.
He charged people and solicited their supports for all progressive party’s candidates participating at the poll.
Olaniyi called on Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission(OYSIEC) to ensure that the election is free, fair and credible, so that its name would be written in gold.
