In one of his first official acts after taking the oath of office, the 32nd President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, has set up a Local Governments Monitoring Committee to monitor compliance with the Supreme Court judgment on Local Government autonomy.
The committee is to be chaired by a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Oyo State, Mr. Adebayo Mutalubi Ojo, SAN with Mr. Augustine Nwabueze Eseagu as Secretary
