Lanlehin In Ibarapaland, Rallies Support For SOJ, Other ADC Candidates

Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Oyo State, African Democratic Congress, ADC governorship candidate, has charged voters in the state, to use their index finger to vote out bad governance, and bring in the ADC, which he said, represents goodness, and love for the people.

Lanlehin, who spoke in Igangan, Tapa and Ayete, all in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of the state, reminded the people to recall his good deeds and antecedents, hence repay him kindly with their votes come 2 March, 2019.

Introducing Hon James Adesokan and Hussain Akinlabi, candidates for Ibarapa Central/North State and Federal Constituencies respectively, to the enthusiastic crowd at Igangan, Lanlehin called on voters to vote the ADC in all elections come Saturday, 16 February, 2019.

“I’ve once been senator, and without being immodest, there are testaments as to one’s credible performance.

“On that score, I know when a senator has performed, and I can boldly say Senator Adesoji Akanbi has. So, vote for him come Saturday,” Lanlehin said.

At Tapa, Lanlehin reeled out his people centred plans and programmes, which includes free education, affordable healthcare, revitalised farm settlements complemented by cottage industries, and above all, the introduction of transparency and accountability in governance.

“Our people deserve the best of life, that’s why once we’re sworn in, a new dawn begins immediately,” Lanlehin said.

At Igboora, in Ibarapa Central Local Government, Lanlehin called for a minute silence for those killed during APC’s campaign rally in the town, telling the people that the best way to avoid such occurrences was to vote in pro people political parties, whose love for the people was without doubt. The ADC, Lanlehin added, was that party.

“Once we get the reins of power, our people become the centerpiece of governance. Meeting their needs becomes government’s top priority.”

On Lanlehin’s entourage was former Oyo State deputy governor, Amb Taofeek Arapaja, Senator Gbenga Babalola, Chief Lowo Obisesan, Hon Wale Adegoke, and two former commissioners, Alh Asimiyu Ado and Fatai Aborode.

The campaign tour later touched Ibarapa East Local Government Area comprising Eruwa and Lanlate, where Lanlehin promised to provide adequate funding for the towns’ institutions, and indeed, all state owned institutions, to ensure the economies of those towns receive life.

“A situation where tertiary institutions are instructed to be self funding is inappropriate, and we shall reverse such. All state owned institutions will be adequately funded,” Lanlehin added.

A roadshow was later done round Maya, Lanlate and Eruwa, where Lanlehin received positive commendations from members of the public who trooped out to welcome him and his entourage.

At the Eruwa Town Hall, ADC candidates for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Hon Sunday Adepoju, and Ibarapa East State Constituency, Hon Mark Akinyode, were also introduced to the excited crowd, while Lanlehin solicited support for the duo in the forthcoming National Assembly polls.
