One of the three people, whose COVID-19 results came back positive Saturday night, is dead.
Governor Seyi Makinde, who made it known around 12 am Monday morning, tweeted that the death occurred on few hours after the result came back.
He tweeted: “Sadly, one of the new COVID-19 cases announced yesterday, passed away this morning. This brings the number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state to two. So, there are currently eight active cases in Oyo State.”
OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls that Makinde, late Saturday night, had announced “The COVID-19 confirmation test for three suspected cases from the University College Hospital, Ibadan, came back POSITIVE, today. So, there are currently nine active cases in Oyo State.”
