Akeem Olatunji, a known associate of Teslim Folarin, All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in tomorrow’s governorship election Friday night escaped being killed as gunmen invaded his Omiyale family house, located within Ibadan South East local government.

Popularly called Akogun Oosa, he said he was barely settling down when he saw rear lights of some trucks. “I was suspicious. The lights were too bright. I sensed danger. I moved backward. The trucks, three hilux vans, stopped beside our base, the men, masked, came down and started shooting. I fled. I am just grateful I wasn’t caught unaware. I might have been killed,” the visibly shaken former caretaker chairman of Ibadan South East local government told OYOINSIGHT.COM.

This newspaper recalls that three people were killed yesterday when political thugs attacked APC members at the headquarters of the party within the local government.

Last night, the family house of Folarin in Oja’gbo area of Ibadan North East local government was attacked. The three-term escaped what he described as an assassination attempt on his life.
